We've had several tragedies involving the fast moving, high rising, Payette River this summer. Now two bodies have been recovered.

The bodies were pulled from a 2017 Grand Jeep Cherokee that supposedly plunged into the river on June 24th just North of Smith's Ferry.

According to KTVB, the victims have not been identified.

In order to make the recovery the water flow through Cascade Dame was reduced and the highway was reduced to one lane.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with those affected by this terrible tragedy. Hopefully they have some closure now and we'll keep you updated are as the victims are identified.
