1st Female Police Chief in Idaho
45 year old Tomi Mclean is Idaho's first ever Chief of Police!
Mclean will become Rathdrum's police chief on January 1, 2017. She has worked as a police officer for the small city of 8,000 since 1994.
KTVB says Mclean was unanimously appointed to the position by the city council.
Mclean says she appreciates the confidence the community has place in her and she's waited a long time to become the Chief of Police.
