12 Year Old Girl Shot At Gun Range In Rupert, Idaho

ACCIDENT OR NOT???

One of my biggest fears as a dad of four beautiful daughters and one son is that something will happen to them.  Something will go wrong.  It usually happens at the most unexpected times and often times is just an accident that could've been avoided.  Simple mistakes turn into major life changes.

Today my heart goes out to this little 12 year old girl in Rupert, Idaho who was enjoying a day at a local gun range until a 9mm went off.  There's no details on where she was hit or who she is but I can only imagine what must have been going through her parent's heads as she was taken by helicopter to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

There is video of the incident that local authorities currently are going over.  Minidoka County Sheriff Erik Snarr believes this was an accident but will leave no stone un-turned in the investigation.

Fortunately this little girl is back at home.  She is one of the lucky ones!
