1,100 Firefighters Battling the Pioneer Fire

The Pioneer Fire just north of Idaho City is only 27% contained and we have 1,100 of our boys working on it.

More than 2,700 acres have been scorched as the Pioneer Fire continues to grow.  Today we have more hot and dry conditions which make it more difficult to battle.  We have a passing cold front coming in tonight which could produce thunderstorms with gusty, erratic winds.  Not good for fire behavior.
