Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of a little 11-year-old boy who couldn't hang on to life after his horseback accident.  The names of the boy and his family have not been released yet so that the entire family can be notified beforehand.

According to KTVB the accident occurred in Council, Idaho approximately 6:25 last night.  After the child was thrown from the horse he landed on his head.  The Adams County Sheriff's Department found him unconscious when they arrived and the boy was immediately airlifted to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.  He was then transferred to St. Luke's Hospital where he died earlier today.

Authorities are investigating the nature of the accident and details of exactly what happened but the main priority now is the grieving family.  Losing a child is an indescribable experience and when you're actually there watching it happen, it's that much worse.  We can only pray for these people and hope they know that their little angel is safe now, looking down on them.
